I need fresh air and exercise.
If I stay alone at my desk, indoors all day, I get paralyzed. I allow myself to be distracted by social media, other computer tasks – even housework, which is probably a good thing!
I don’t need to go for a run or anything like that. Even if I just go outside and walk around the yard for a while, I get some clarity. I may not be able to jump back in and write another thousand words right away, but it stops the depressing “writers block” mindset.
