Life’s Interruptions

Sometimes, writing takes a backseat to life. It’s that “priorities” thing. This morning has been one of those times. (And I see a few more in my near future.)
First, I received the sticker to prove I voted in our primary. Voting is a big deal in this household, and we don’t miss it.
Then, I came home and moved my office two doors down. Though it’s a good thing, it put me behind in my work. I’d include a photo, but honestly, you don’t want to see it at the moment. At least moving helped me I find the top of my desk again. Now to figure out where to put the stuff I took off it. 😉

I’ve learned that all things are under God’s control which includes these interruptions. So along the way, I’ve learned to be patient and just go with the flow. If there are interruptions, then God had a reason for allowing it in my life. There are only so many things I can do to keep my life simple and some things will interfere no matter what.
Honor God with your work AND in your interruptions. 🙂 When you work for Christ, sometimes it can be hard to handle it when life throws you curve balls and it’s easy to forget that these times are for Christ too.

I find that I am far less accepting of interruptions than I think I am. I’m easy going, right? But I forget to turn on the dryer and…aaaaargh… It’s a good thing I don’t run an entire country or perform microsurgery.
Off topic, but that book cover has me thinking…they should put unattractive people on a romance novel. It would really make it stand out.

I don’t think interruptions please anyone, unless they’re doing something they don’t want to do in the first place. Then they’re welcome. 🙂 And I’ve been known to forget to turn the dryer on occasionally and only find out about it when the next load is ready to go in it.
