A Sneak Peek by Sandra Ardoin

No review today. Instead, I’m giving you a sneak peek into my visual inspiration for the hero in the novel I’m working on at the moment.

I just finished reading Burning Sky—review coming next week. At one point, Lori Benton described her hero, and I immediately thought of a particular actor. I’d love to know if I’m right.

When authors use a real person as inspiration, it’s not the whole personality they’re using. Generally, it’s only the physical appearance, maybe gestures and voice—a picture in their heads that helps guide them through the writing. But, honestly, gotta love Chris Young’s dimple! Just like Brody’s. 😉 And that voice!!

Ignore the ad at the beginning of the video. Hmm … on second thought, if it comes up Luke Bryan, know that I may have to look seriously at finding a character for him.

This is a beautiful song. Enjoy!

Do you ever picture a certain person, celebrity or non, when you read a book? If you’re a writer, do you use this way of visualizing your character?

As an author of heartwarming historical and contemporary romance, Sandra Ardoin engages readers with page-turning stories of love and faith. Rarely out of reach of a book, she's also an armchair sports enthusiast, country music listener, and seldom says no to eating out.
