In the Stack

I had plans to do a review today—honestly—but the book I wanted to review didn’t work out and my reading time has been sketchy lately. You know, one of those “so many books, so little time” things.
So I thought I’d share some of those many books that are in my reading stack and ask what you’re reading. I also want to know why you pick some of the books you do. What about them appealed to you enough to add them to your stack?
At Bat:
I’m finishing Colleen Coble’s The Inn at Ocean’s Edge after reading Rosemary Cottage and Seagrass Pier. I read these for my own pleasure, not a required review. Who knows, you may see my take sometime down the road.
Do you ever get in a cycle of reading the same author’s work back-to-back?

Sandy, I got so excited about seeing my book in your “reading sack,” I forgot to add my list. These are books I plan to read soon: Falling For Chloe by D. I’m finishing up Luther and Katharina by Jody Hedlund and plan to start Murder at the Courthouse and hopefully Lynn Austin’s On this Foundation soon after.
Every few months, I try to make a point to collect all the books in a series and read them back to back. Otherwise, I normally don’t get to read from the same author back to back.
Let’s see…I have a HUGE collection of not-so-new releases that I’m wanting to read before the end of the year for various challenges that I entered on Goodreads. I have Lee Roddy’s Yesterday’s Shadows, Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden, and A Necessary Deception by Laurie Alice Eakes.There are a few others hiding on my kindle. Lol

I haven’t read anything by Lee Roddy in a long time, but have LOVED everything by Elizabeth Camden! Enjoy whittling down that list, Anita. Oh, but that’s pretty impossible, I think. As one is taken off, a few more take its place. 🙂

I’m trying to figure out if he’ll be an author to keep in our church’s library. You only read one from him? Did you not like him or just happened not to pick him back up?

I don’t remember if I read one or two. I don’t think it was more than that, although I don’t remember not liking his work. I want to say it was an adult mystery. I work in my church’s library and I’m thinking we have a book or two by him. I’ll check tonight.

I’m hoping his work is good. It sounds good. The book I picked up is about a woman Pinkerton spy during the Civil War. 😉 Sounds like a winner to me.
