In the Stack
I don’t have anything I’m technically reviewing this morning, even though I have been busy reading.
About three years ago, I read Sushi for One?, Camy Tang’s first book in her Sushi Series. I’m not normally a “chick-lit” fan, but I really enjoyed that book. I finally found the next two books in my church library and had to read them–Only Uni and Single Sashimi. Each book revolves around a particular cousin (there are four). As I was reading the second book, I began to wonder what happened to Cousin Number Four–Jenn. As far as I knew there were only three books. In checking out Camy’s website, I found something exciting. TA-DAAA!! There is a book four and it just released in July. How did I miss the hype for Jenn’s story?
So I finished Single Sashimi last night and went right into James Scott Bell’s A Certain Truth, another book in The Trials of Kit Shannon series. Somehow, I had also missed that one. If you like an early 1900s Los Angeles setting with a female Perry Mason, you’ll enjoy this series. The first three books with this character were co-authored with Tracie Peterson and went under the series title Shannon Saga.
Next on my list is The Girl in the Gatehouse by Julie Klassen. I’ve heard good things about this book and can’t wait to get to it. This one being only a year old, I’ll probably review it and let you know if, for me, it lived up to its reputation.
I have a couple more library books to read, then I bought some I can’t wait to get into: M. L. Tyndall’s The Restitution, Kathleen Y’Barbo’s Beloved Castaway, and Siri Mitchell’s Love’s Pursuit. Yes, all historicals! I am rubbing my hands together with impatience.
So, what’s in your stack? Have you read any of the above books? If so, how did you like it/them? What is the one book you have yet to read and can’t wait to get to it?
I have received no compensation for this post and have no material connection with any product(s) mentioned.

Oh, the stack.
I loved Girl in the Gatehouse, but that is all I’ve read in your stack.
In my stack, A Most Unsuitable Match (Stephanie Grace Winston), Love Amid the Ashes (Mesu Andrews), Love Finds You in Homestead, Iowa & Love Finds You in Nasareth, PN (both Melanie Dobson)…Those are some of the paperbacks I have. I don’t want to even think about the digital pile that has accumulated in my Kindle…
😉
I look forward to hearing what you think of the historicals in your stack!

I’m really anxious to read The Girl in the Gatehouse. I remember you had a review on your blog one time, Nicole. I enjoyed A Most Unsuitable Match. (I’m Stephanie Whitson fan.)

I’m so glad you enjoyed my Sushi series, Sandra! Thanks so much! The print version of Weddings and Wasabi is a little expensive since it’s Print on Demand, but the ebook version is only $2.99.

That’s great information, Camy. Thanks! I was worried about poor Jenn. 🙂 The blurb for Weddings and Wasabi shows it will be a fun read.
