Remember – Part 2

I normally post every other Tuesday, but last week I had such a long list of books to suggest that it became necessary to do a second installment before Memorial Day. 

Songbird Under a German Moon by Tricia Goyer

The year is 1945. The war is over and 21-year-old Betty Lake has been invited to Europe to sing in a USO tour for American soldiers who now occupy Hitler’s Germany. The first night’s performance is a hit. Swiss Courier by Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey

Asked to safely courier a German physicist working on the budding Nazi atomic bomb project to the Swiss border, Gabi feels the weight of the war on her shoulders. But who can she trust?

Task Force Valor series – Allah’s Fire, Island Inferno, Melt Down by Chuck Holton

Written by a former Army Ranger, these three books involve a special Explosive Ordinance Disposal team fighting to keep new terrorist weapons from our shores. I’ve read and enjoyed the first two, have not gotten to the third yet–but I will.

The Navy Justice series – Treason, Hostage, Defiance, Black Sea Affair by Don Brown

If you liked the JAG series on television, you’ll love these books from a former military lawyer. Both in and out of the courtroom, JAG Officer  Zack Brewer fights terrorists infiltrating our military, kidnapping his lady love, and threatening to blow up the world. I haven’t read the fourth book yet, but highly recommend the first three.

Uncommon Heroes Series – True Devotion, True Valor, True Honor by Dee Henderson

Strong Naval heroes, plucky heroines, action-packed and romantic–typical Dee Henderson.

The Homeland Heroes series – Wounded Healer by Donna Fleisher 

Two women.  A friendship forged in war, destroyed by a dark secret. Now one’s fear of God and the other’s faith in Him collide in a different kind of war – and only one of them can win. I just finished this first wonderful novel in the series about two medics, veterans of Desert Storm.

Discarded Heroes series – Nightshade  by Ronie Kendig – To be released in another month

The story of a Vietnam pilot’s downward spiral. I understand the title is the name of the plane – cool!
