Seriously Write: Branding 101—I know my brand. Now what do I do with it? by Patty Smith Hall
First things first today. If you get these posts by email you might have noticed a little difference. (I hope you did.) If you come here through your browser, you probably noticed a big difference.
I have a new website!
As with everything new, there are still things to tweak, but take a look and let me know what you think. I certainly hope it complements my brand as you’ll read today on Seriously Write.
You may be asking yourself why focus on ourselves instead of our work? Aren’t our books what makes our brand? The answer to both questions is no—we are our brand, and it’s important to know who we are before we enter into a relationship with our readers.

Thanks much! I’m still working on it, but it’s coming along. 🙂

Thanks! We all need a little refreshing on occasion. 🙂

It looks beautiful, Sandra! I guess it’s website updating season…I just updated mine this week. I’ve nervous about moving my blog, though. 🙂

I love your header, Jill, with hummingbird in there. It all has a great look! I guess yours is self-hosted? I came WordPress’s .com site. Everything transferred pretty well, but it was a learning curve. 🙂 Thanks!

Well, that’s what happens when you get in a hurry. Typos galore! Sorry.

Thanks, Sandra! I’m impressed…I’m clueless with this tech stuff. I hired someone to do jillweatherholt.com and he plans to have me respond to blog comments on that site since I own the domain and not where my blog is. It’s all kind of confusing, so I let him handle it. I’ve probably completely confused you! LOL! 🙂

That would be confusing. I only had the one site and already owned my domain. I’m learning, but it’s been more involved than I expected, so if you can hire someone…do it! 🙂
